Sheer Lust Electro Chic Collection – Press Samples

Hey guys! Today I have a new to me brand called Sheer Lust. I was send the Sheer Lust Electro Chic collection, which is 6 shades of super fun bright metallics! These shades came in a gorgeous silver box and were nicely packaged. Sadly, one of them didn’t make it but I have the other five lovelies to show you! Let’s get to the polishes!

Summer Star

Formula/Application: I had no issues with any formula! They’re nice one coaters, but I used two and I’ll tell you why. Two coats, for me, helps smooth out the polish on metallics a bit better. Keep the brush low and almost flat to your nail, and only use three strokes. One at the middle, then two at the sides. You’ll almost eliminate brush strokes and get that metallic look you crave! This is the same experience I had with every polish, so this part will stay the same

Coverage: Opaque in one coat, I used two

Color: Pale jade green

Finish: Metallic shimmer

Notes: These polishes are great for stamping and marbling!

Electric Aquamarine

Notes: This one is going to be heavily used for my stamping collection – plus it’s a great shade for your toes!

Also, these polishes watermarble AND stamp! I used Belle Bionic as my base for both, and Electric Aquamarine to Stamp!

So, what do we think of these new shades? I’m loving the marbling aspect of them, plus having good metallic stampers is awesome. These are perfect summer shades and retail for $18 each or $95 for the set! Will you be picking any up? Click the links below to check them out!

  • These are gorgeous! Magnetic Flower is my favorite. I find less strokes work best with metallics too. It drives me crazy when I go to paint and don’t have enough on the brush. Those few seconds are so key on whether or not you’re gonna drag the polish!

  • I’m not loving these on their own, but as stampers, yes please! And I’m loving the marble you did with them!

  • Metallic polishes aren’t my favorite, but I like that they incorporated some colors you don’t always see. Metallic Marmalade is definitely the stand out for me!

  • Not a big fan of metallics because of brush strokes but I love you nail art looks!

  • Tracey

How great that these water marble and stamp 🙂

  • Naked Without Polish

That marble manicure is perfect!! I really like that first shade. I wish I had the patience to do the sponge method. It would eliminate the brush stroke issues.

  • Queen of Nails 83

Metallic Marmalade is my personal favorite of the bunch.

  • Ehmkay Nails

Ouch on the price! I can tell these look great for stamping but at $18 a pop, I can’t justify the price for stamping.

  • Laura-Louise Knowles

All so pretty, I love metallic marmalade

  • Metallic Marmalade is such an amazing color.

  • Jenalyn Pirosch

Metallic Marmalade, oh my sweet baby jesus. I love it.

  • Gorgeous swatches and metallics. I love that these all have a good formula.
